PromptsFlow ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our browser extension. By using PromptsFlow, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The short version: We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or ChatGPT conversations. Everything happens locally in your browser.

Information We Don't Collect

PromptsFlow does NOT collect or transmit:

  • Your ChatGPT conversations or chat history
  • Your custom prompts or prompt library
  • Your chat notes or markdown files
  • Your custom modes or configuration settings
  • Your folder organization or chat metadata
  • Usage analytics or browsing behavior

How Your Data Is Stored

All data created and managed by PromptsFlow is stored exclusively in your browser using:

  • Browser Local Storage: Your prompts, settings, and preferences
  • IndexedDB: Larger datasets like chat history backups and exported files

This means your data is tied to your browser installation and is not accessible to us or any third parties. If you uninstall the extension, all data is automatically removed from your browser.

Data You Choose to Export

PromptsFlow allows you to export your data (prompts, chat notes, settings) to files on your computer. When you use the export feature:

  • The export file is created locally on your device
  • No data is transmitted to our servers during export
  • You have full control over where these files are stored

Payment Processing

When you purchase a license for PromptsFlow, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment provider (LemonSqueezy). We do not store or have access to:

  • Your credit card information
  • Your billing address
  • Any other payment details

We only receive confirmation of your purchase and a license key to verify your access to premium features. Please refer to LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment information.

Browser Permissions

PromptsFlow requires certain browser permissions to function properly:

  • Access to chat.openai.com Required to inject the extension interface into ChatGPT and enhance your experience.
  • Storage permission Required to save your prompts, settings, and preferences locally.
  • Clipboard access Required for the "copy to clipboard" features (only when you explicitly trigger them).

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store your data, you have complete control:

  • Access: All your data is immediately accessible within the extension
  • Deletion: Uninstall the extension to delete all data, or use the reset feature in settings
  • Portability: Export your data anytime using the built-in export features

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the extension or on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
